THE YACHTSMEN QUARTET

Enjoy the wonderful folk sounds of the Yachtsmen Quartet, caught live during 1963, recorded at the Blind Alley Coffee House in San Diego, CA. This (edited) medley of songs from the surviving rare audio tape features the line-up running through such gems as “Comin’ Two By Two”, “I Talk To The Trees” and a version of the Kingston Trio’s “Greenback Dollar”…

THE WHAT’S NEW

After journeying to Europe the Yachtsmen Quartet developed into The What’s New, and subsequently released a series of fine recordings, cut in the French capital. This (edited) medley comprises of the songs “Early Morning Rain”, “The Last Thing On My Mind” and the quasi-mid-60s-psych of “Up So High”…

COLIN SCOT

Following the disbandment of The What’s New, Colin Scot struck out on a solo career, becoming the ever-wandering troubadour of the early 1970s U.K. folk scene, releasing three fine albums en route. This edited selection of songs from those releases features “Continental Trailways Bus”, “Smile” and the uplifting “You’re Bound To Leave Me Now”. Sadly, ‘Scotty’ never fulfilled the massive potential he had but you hear his amazing talents shining through on this brief selection…
